Hey there ISHCMC 2K!

We are so glad you could make it!

Have a great holiday. I'm sure you'll still be able to add to the other rap points after your holiday.

Here in New South Wales we are having holidays for Good Friday and Easter Monday, but then we are back at school for a few more weeks and the end of Term 1.

Regards,
Mr McLean,
Penrith PS

Dear Bookrappers,

ISHCMC is a little late in posting our first response. Grade 2 has been very busy this term. Today is the last day of Term 3 for us and it is Good Friday. We don't get a holiday in Vietnam for Good Friday. Here is our response for Rap point 1:

We think that memories are important otherwise you might forget who you are, you might forget everything you have learned at school. You might forget who your friends are, to remember people's names, you could forget all the things you had, to tell your children, to think about your life, and if you didn't have a memory you would forget how to talk.

Our special memories of Grade 2 are: playing 'base' in class with Ms Jo; our student-led conferences; and the Grade 2 sleepover.

To help us remember these events we would choose:

* a times table or cards with addition, subtraction, etc on them to remember the base game

* a checklist for the student-led conferences

* and a teddy bear (or doll) and a pillow for the sleepover.

Happy Easter!

Memories are important because they keep us warm and loved. When we're warm and loved we feel like we're in a dream. Memories are important because they remind us of all the fun times we've had and from a long time ago you can remember the good times and sometimes the sad times too.

Our class's special memory is when we made our "Flat Stanley Board Games" because it was fun making them and they'll be great games. We are very proud of our board games. We are making a model and then we are doing our real copy then we are laminating them and making some cards and laminating those too. These are the first board games we've ever designed.

Our memory item: A lucky chance card because we use it a lot.

12CI thought memories were important so we could remember important dates like birthdays, celebrations, weddings and holidays.

12NR thought it was important to remember where we put things.

12HB thought their best memory will be meeting all their new friends in the grade.

We all thought the Olympic website launch was going to be an important day to remember in the future. The school got a boxing kangaroo which will help us remember this day each time we see it in the office area.

2R remember many things about school even though we haven't been here very long!

Most of us remember our first days at Sherwood Grange, meeting our friends and playing on the oval. When we see our school uniform it makes us remember school things.

Hello again everyone,

This is Room 22 from Winthrop Primary in Perth. We really liked talking about Wilfrid's story.

Memories are very important otherwise you would not know who you are or where you came from. They are also important so you don't forget stuff and so that you can remember your favourite things. Sebastian says memories are important because they could even save your life.

One of our favourite memories to share with you is the Lion Dance we had at the start of the year. We loved it because it was colourful and noisy and we experienced another culture. A piece of lettuce and cymbals help us remember how much we enjoyed the Lion Dance.

As a class we agree that memories are important because they help us to remember what to do in everyday life. Memories can be of sad and happy times, sometimes memories can last forever. Sometimes they can fade away.

Our memories of school 2008 are
* Clean up Australia Day
* making sea mobiles
* playing fun games
* watching Nemo
* making new class friends.

There was no one item that we could pick to represent a memory, because different items can be a reminder for a different memory.

Greetings again,

We agree with other rappers that memories are important. Memories are important because you wouldn't know who your Mum and Dad are and you wouldn't know who you are. Also you wouldn't remember anything you had to do or how to keep out of danger.

An important memory to share with you is going to Alexandria Canal on Tuesday. When we remember this we feel proud, happy and excited. We found it hard to think of something to symbolise this memory.

We look forward to reading your messages.

Hello all of the rappers out there! We are in class 1P and this is what we think of memories:

Tim says memories are good because we can remember how to walk.

Peter says when you play a computer game you can remember the medals you got from the game.

Jazz says memories are good so you can remember your favourite TV shows.

This year at school we remember how to write with the left or right hand and to bring our library books and also to our new teacher Miss Peyton.

Hear from you later!!
